Quality is Key
NEPAVA candles started as a hobby in my kitchen & has become somewhat of an obsession. I love making candles, wax melts and lotion bars whenever I can.
All products are made in small batches in my work shop.
Here at NEPAVA quality is an absolute priority, all NEPAVA Wax Works candles and body products are made with natural waxes (soy, coconut & beeswax) and only quality carrier and fragrance oils.

What are top, middle & base notes?
A perfect combination of these three notes makes a fragrance lasting and appealing.

Top Note - This is the initial impression the fragrance oil makes when you first smell a candle or remove the lid. It is the most volatile, meaning it will evaporate the quickest.

Middle Note - The middle note is the “heart” of the fragrance. It can take 10 to 20 minutes for the middle notes to fully develop. When you are burning a candle, the middle notes are the most prominent.

Base Note - also called the “Dry Down”- The base notes are what give a candle lasting qualities. It is the scent that lingers even after the candle is extinguished.

Why we use Phthalate-Free Fragrance Oils
A primary concern is with phthalates that are used in cosmetic applications:

dibutyl phthalate (DBP)

dimethyl phthalate (DMP)

diethyl phthalate (DEP)

Of the three only DEP is still commonly used in fragrance.
Over the last decade or so, more research has been done on the effects of phthalates on human health.
While research into the health risks of exposure to phthalates is ongoing, by using phthalates-free fragrance oils in our products we can remove these risks.
